Blucone Farms, LLC. offers seasonal camps for boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 14 years old interested in developing skills in horse handling, riding and equitation, care and nutrition of the horse, all in a safe and fun environment centered around the animals they love! Groups are formed based on the level of experience of each individual child to provide a solid foundation for those just starting out with horses and to develop and enhance the skills of those with prior experience.

- Mondays will include "Meet the Horses Tour" and an "Around the Barn" introduction to the Farm.
- Fridays will include a Horse Show, showcasing the skills learned throughout the week - both on and off horseback.

Instruction

Each day, campers will be taught and assisted by knowledgeable staff at Blucone Farms, LLC. Our two head trainers, Katie Busey and Catie Vitale, have over 25+ years combined experience teaching, training, showing, and raising horses, and will give your child safe, fun, and professional guidance during their visit at camp. Our trainers will also be assisted by two camp counselors to better provide individual attention to your child.

Because enrollment is limited to a maximum of 10 campers per week, the ratio of adults to children is 2.5:1.

What to Bring/Wear

- Closed toed shoes (preferably with a heel).
- Riding or bike helmet (some helmets may be available if you do not have one).
- Long pants (preferably jeans or breeches).
- Bag or box LUNCH.
- Cell phones are permitted.
- A hat or visor is recommended.
- Sunscreen.
- Water bottle, Gatorade, or soda. A cooler will be provided to keep drinks and lunches cool, extra water will ALWAYS be available!
- Bathing suit and towels.
- An extra change of clothes is recommended.
- Jewelry should not be worn.
- Smiles!

Rates

Weekly Camp (Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm) ... $250
- A $50 non-refundable deposit MUST be made 7 days prior to your child's 1st day of camp. The remainder of your balance must then be paid on the 1st day of attendance.

Registration

To register for camp, you can simply mail in your completed forms (found under Forms on this page) plus your $50 non-refundable deposit. This will ensure that your child will receive one of our ten available spots for enrollment! *Enrollment is limited to a maximum of 10 campers per week.*
